The role of the corporate real estate (CRE) function within an organization has evolved beyond a pure cost center into a true value driver. Business leaders now demand a new level of operational and data maturity in response to complex workplace patterns to maximize workplace effectiveness, address carbon neutrality, and optimize overall spend. This has only intensified as AI establishes a cornerstone role in all support functions.

FlexDesk is building the product suite to support this digital transformation and equip businesses with a data intelligence and workflow platform to maximize the ROI on their real estate.

About the Role

FlexDesk is recruiting a founding sales development representative to join its team. This role will report directly to the CEO and work alongside a peer on the sales team to help drive the growth of a fast-growing startup.

You’ll be at the forefront of establishing new relationships with Corporate Real Estate and Workplace Experience leaders. You will be responsible for executing upon and refining our cold outbound lead generation playbook.

As a successful SDR, you must be a self-starter who is comfortable working independently as well as part of a team. You are tenacious, organized, cross-functional, and can quickly build rapport with prospective customers. You will be at the tip of the spear to FlexDesk’s growth, and have uncapped growth opportunities as we define the sales culture and expand the team.

Responsibilities

  • Become an expert in our target persona, their problems/objectives, and how that maps to the FlexDesk value proposition
  • Possess a hunter mentality, with the ability to build pipeline through list-building, cold outreach (email, phone, LinkedIn), in-person networking, and account-based marketing
  • Use an organized approach to develop and experiment with different outbound campaigns and scripts
  • Navigate complex organizational structures and use creative tactics to reach target personas within prospective customers
  • Identify best practices to refine the sales development playbook and maintain reporting metrics
  • Represent the FlexDesk brand by exuding a professional presence, establishing industry rapport, and generating visibility on key social media channels
  • Serve as an internal force-multiplier, culture-carrier, and standard for velocity
  • Create a feedback loop for translating front-line conversations with prospects into additional product needs
  • Manage your career progression as you evolve into a closing role

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in a SaaS role selling to mid-market and enterprise customers
  • Track record of consistently exceeding quota
  • Strong work ethic and team-first mindset where everyone is excited to chip in beyond their defined responsibilities
  • Nose for value and ability to prioritize time across competing initiatives
  • SF/NYC hybrid preferred, remote considered
  • Bonus points
  • Experience selling to a shared services function like HR, Finance, Corporate Travel, Procurement, or CRE
  • Experience at a multi-product “compound” startup
